I was able to review the Softbums Echo Diaper! I was so excited because I have heard tons of great things about this diaper!
About the Echo Diaper
- Softbums Slide2Size is the ONLY variable adjustment of it's kind!
- The Softbums Echo diaper is super trim!
- Fits 4" - 14" legs with no red marks!
- Choose your own pods- Dry Touch Pods, Super Dry Touch, or Organic Bamboo
- Industrial strength velcro that won't wear out!

My Review
I had never tried a drawstring diaper before, so I admit I was a bit nervous about it. When I received the Softbums Echo Diaper I loved the color instantly! I was able to easily figure out the drawstring and adjust it to fit Noah. After washing it, I tried it on him and was happy to find it fit really well! We have been using it here all week on our trip and have had no leaks! He even napped in it today and his clothes were completely dry when he woke up! I love the fit; I love the adjustability; and I love having the option to choose the pod! I am very pleased with this diaper!!

MFC Sponsor Spotlight- Miss Lily's Washing Powder & Product Review
About Miss Lily's Washing Powder
Here's a bit about Jill and how Miss Lily's Washing Powder came to be!
"I am a WAHM of four beautiful kids and a cloth diapering mama. My youngest, Lilyana (aka Miss Lily) is who this detergent is named after. I started making laundry detergent after being disappointed with the other "green" detergents out there, and after reading about the cancer-causing agents found in popular detergents. My goal is to provide you with clean and fresh-smelling laundry without the chemicals found in the other detergents. My washing powder really works! "
Miss Lily's Washing Powder is natural soap free, enzyme free detergent. One bag can do up to 96 loads! The washing powder also comes in tons of awesome scents like Black Rasberry Vanilla, Island Fresh, and Lemon Sugar!
My Review
I was super excited to try some of Miss Lilly's Washing Powder. I have always used Rockin' Green on my cloth diapers and while I love it, I was very interested in trying something new. The washing powder came at the perfect time. I was dealing with some ammonia stinkies and it was getting frustrating. The washing powder came with step by step directions on how much to use, what to use it with, and even tips on removing stains and stink!! I followed the directions and washed my diapers! To my pleasant suprise my stinkies were gone! I was a bit skeptic though because I'd only used it one time. So I decided to keep using it. I've been using it for the past month now and have had absolutely no stinky or buildup issues the whole time! I am very VERY pleased with this washing powder. It leaves no residue or buildup and Noah hasn't had any reaction to it whatsoever! I am a BIG fan of Miss Lily's Washing Powder and just ordered my first full bag yesterday!! :)

My Review
I was a little intimidated by the Luminess Air kit when I recieved it but was very much relieved when I opened it up and there was a how-to dvd for me to watch and show me exactly how to apply the makeup. It was SO helpful! Even though the step by step video was great, it did take me two times to figure out how to apply the makeup evenly and smoothly. I wasn't moving my hand around enough. Thats a big thing, you have to keep moving! Which is great really cuz it gets the job done quick too! The second day I tried it I was able to get it applied evenly the first time and I really loved it! It gave my skin a smooth, almost painted look. But at the same time it was very natural looking. My husband even pointed out how natural it looked! Once I got the hang of it I was very happy with the look it gave me and how easy and fast it was to apply! I can definately see why the celebrities and models use it! It's good stuff!! Here's a pic of me with the Luminess Air Foundation and Blush on! (The eye makeup was my own)

30 Days of Thankful- Savings!!
Whoever invented coupons, I am thankful for them!! Hehe! Seriously though! I haven't been couponing long but it has been awesome! Not only has coupons helped me save money but it helps me be more aware of what I'm spending and how much I'm spending. I plan what I'm going to get and how much I'm going to spend BEFORE I actually get to the store, so I rarely go over that budget! It's been great! I'm so thankful that they are actually ways to save money out there, especially with this crazy economy!! Its a breathe of fresh air to go in a store and come out knowing you saved money!
MFC Sponsor Spotlight - NanaPants by Betsy
Yay for another Merry Fluffy Christmas event sponsor! NanaPants by Betsy is an etsy shop I cam across and fell in love! The diapers are so adorable! They are one-size pocket diapers that come in a array of different colors and can even be embroidered! And the prices are very reasonable! Here are a few of my favs she has up on her site!!
"We specialize in diapers that are cute and personalized as well as effective in diapering your child. I am Nana, otherwise known as Betsy. I cloth diapered my children (they are now 28, 26, 24 and 22). However, that was in the age of birdseye diaper, diaper pins and plastic pants. Several months ago, my son Micah and his wife Amanda, told me of their desire to cloth diaper. Their son had not yet been born. I decided to explore sewing diapers for them. My older daughter, Erin and husband, had also wanted to cloth diaper so my then 2-month old grandson, Jase, became our "tester". We used some different designs and materials and came up with what we know works, at an affordable price. And, adding the embroidery, of course, makes it fun and personalized. After supplying both my grandsons with diapers, we decided as a family to try offering this to others. Thus, Nana Pants by Betsy was born. We are still in the infancy stage, getting products up on ETSY and trying to get our webs
ite out there for others to see. We are approaching this as a family adventure, involving all 4 kids and their spouses.
A little about me ... I have been a preschool teacher of 3,4 & 5 year olds in a faith based school for 11 years. My husband, Lowell, and I have been married for 30 years and live on and work a farm. For half that time, I was a stay-at-home mom raising our 4 kids. My sewing machine has always been my friend. When my children were growing up, it was my creative outlet. Now that my children are grown and into their own homes, it has given me something to help fill the void. My greatest blessing has been my family and adding grandchildren to it is even better!"

MFC Sponsor Spotlight & Product Review- Go Green Pocket Diapers
I am happy to announce another Merry Fluffy Christmas event sponsor! Go Green Pocket Diapers! I was also able to review a pocket diaper from Go Green Pocket Diapers and I have lots to tell!!
Go Green Pocket Diapers are one-size pocket diapers that do the same job as all the pricey diapers but at half the cost! Go Green Diapers comes in silky or fuzzy and in prints or solids! Every diaper comes with a microfiber terry cloth insert as well!
My Review
I received the Shiney Hiney fuzzy pocket to review. I was immediately impressed at how soft and fuzzy it was! The diaper reminds me of a mix between a Smartipants and a Fuzzibunz pocket diaper. It has the snaps set up similar to a Smartipants and is fuzzy and soft like a Fuzzibunz! So after washing it, I tried it on little man. It fits great! Its pretty trim too! He's worn this diaper about 5 or 6 times since we received it and we've had no leaks at all! He's even worn it napping with no leaks! I am so happy to find a diaper that does just as good of a job as the higher priced diaper at a MUCH lower price! I will be buying more diapers from Go Green Pocket Diapers again for sure!

MFC Sponsor Spotlight- BabyLegs!
I love me some BabyLegs! These are great for babies, kids, and adults alike and I am so proud to announce them as a sponsor for the Merry Fluffy Christmas Event!!
I personally have about 5 pairs of BabyLegs that I put on Noah and I just love them! They are so cute and comfy and they really do make diaper changes a lot easier!!
In April of 2005 a mama was dealing with diaper rash on her baby's bum. We've all been there. Well while she was working on letting her baby's bum get some fresh air she was worried about her baby getting cold. So she cut off the feet of some socks and slipped them on her baby's legs as legwarmers! And that is how BabyLegs began!!
So what's the big idea?
- BabyLegs make diaper changing and potty training easier
- They keep legs warm in strollers or carriers
- Protect knees from hard surfaces and rug burns
- Provides lightweight sun protection in summer months
- Keep in diaper bag for quick change when messes arrive
- They are a fasionable alternative to tights

30 Days of Thankful- Saving Grace
Today I am thankful for God's saving grace! I was thinking about this yesterday. I am very blessed to have His forgiveness because I have messed up big time and many a time!
I grew up as a preachers kid so obviously I grew up in church. I became a christian at 4 years old and my daddy led me to the Lord in our living room. I remember kneeling down at our big recliner and praying that special prayer. As I've talked about before on here, I was a rebellious teenager. I was horrible. If my parents told me to do one thing I'd do the opposite. I made it very tough for them to keep a tight hold on me. Then once I graduated I got even more out of control. I began partying and drinking. I remember I would get so wasted some nights that I didn't remember what happened or I'd wake up at home and not know how I got there. I remember amongst my group of friends the one who was the "most sober" would drive home. None of us were ever sober. I drank underage. I drove drunk. I even experimented with a few drugs. I was out of control and I knew it. But thanks to my Lord's amazing grace, he pulled me back in, forgave me for my horrible mistakes, and rescued me. Now I have a happy fulfilling life instead of dead or in jail like I could have been if I would have kept up with that junk. For that I am more thankful than words can express.

Grandma Sez So
My name is Laurie. I grew up on a dairy farm in South Dakota. Country born and raised, as they say. Some of the things I love are country music, long conversations at the kitchen table, family get togethers, and my new hobby, blogging. Family keeps my heart pounding. I'm married. I have 3 kids. 2 still living and one singing country songs with the angels. I grandmother two beautiful girls. Both my kids are in their freshman year of college. Luckily my hubby and I like pork and beans because I reckon we'll be eating them awhile! College is expensive but I am so proud that they have made the choice to attend.
My aim is to blog about products and host giveaways. But as you can see from my button, I'm still figuring out how to set my page up. Thanks for the opportunity. I hope ya'll stop by.
30 Days of Thankful- Food
Even though I wish I didn't eat so much haha, I am so VERY thankful for food on my plate every day. Not only just that, but I have the choice of so many different varieties of food! There's plenty of people around the world who don't even have enough to feed their whole family, much less choose what kind of food they want to eat :( So today I am so so SO thankful for food!

So if you've been a follower of my blog for a while, you know I'm a big fan of Rockin' Green! If you haven't been a follower you can check out my review of Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper Detergent here. So I am SOOOO excited to announce that Rockin' Green is a sponsor of The Not-So-Secret Confessions for the Merry Fluffy Christmas event!!
Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper Detergent was invented and founded by Kim Webb. She invented Rockin' Green after dealing with chronic diaper rash, stinky diapers, and hard water. In 2009 Rockin' Green became one of the very first detergents to be considered a "cloth diaper detergent". It is a clean rinsing detergent and leaves litle to no soap residue. It has no fillers, enzymes, optical brightners, and is 100% phosphate free.
Rockin' green is available online at rockingreensoap.com and also at over 250 retailers!
Today Rockin' Green detergent has three different formulas:
Rockin' Green also comes in Bare Naked Babies which is unscented.

It has no fillers, enzymes, optical brightners, and is 100% phosphate free.
Rockin' green is available online at rockingreensoap.com and also at over 250 retailers!
Today Rockin' Green detergent has three different formulas:
- Hard Rock (for hard water systems)
- Soft Rock (for soft water systems or babies with very sensitive skin)
- Classic Rock ( for normal water conditions or those with moderate hard water conditions)
Rockin' Green comes in 6 rockin' scents:
- Smasing Watermelons
- Motley Clean
- Rage Against the Rasberries
- The Plain Green Tea's

30 Days of Thankful- Freedom
Veterans day was this week and it always gets me to thinking about how thankful I am that I live in the United States and I have so many freedoms! I am so very blessed to live in this country and it's all because of the amazing veterans, past and present! If you or a family member are a veteran, I thank you so much!!
Are you a Cloth Diapering/Babywearing/Green Mama?? Lookie Lookie!
If you answered yes to any of the above questions please read! My friend, Emily, wants your help!
My company, Mommy Secrets, is a mom owned company that exists to support and educate a community of moms on the benefits of a more natural way of mothering while providing a selection of mom made products to enrich their lives as mommy.
At the core of who I am, I love helping people. I stumbled into a greener lifestyle about 5 years ago when I became very ill with an unknown illness. You can read the whole story on my blog here. When I became a mother things changed even more in our lifestyle. I wanted to give my children the healthiest lives possible, as I think all moms do. I research and researched and researched and tried out so many green products. When my oldest was about 2, all my friends were asking me how I did what I did and even sending their friends to me. One day, a good friend of mine said: "You know Emily, you really should think about starting your own business. You are teaching all these moms amazing things and then sending somewhere else to spend their money. Why not make a little extra money yourself?" And Mommy Secrets was born.
Now just over a year later and after a lot of blood, sweat, and tears Mommy Secrets is about to enter into a new place. One thing I knew right away was that I have no desire whatsoever to become another big online cloth diaper and natural parenting store. There are already so many of those and some do such an amazing job and I have no desire to compete with them. If you need a place that can help you over the phone or over email there are incredible mom owned businesses that I can fully recommend. But if you are looking for a place where you can touch, examine, and try out natural parenting items and you don't live in their town they are not really going to be able to help you. You are still going to have to pay shipping for items that may or not work for you and you still are not going to be able to talk to someone that actually uses your water type when you are having problems with your wash routine. THIS is the problem I want to solve.
So I have decided to give moms who are already doing what I was doing (converting friends to a greener lifestyle) the opportunity to make some additional income. Starting and running a business is a whole lot of work and I know many moms don't want to tackle such a task. Which is why I am not looking for moms to bring on as Green Mommy Consultants. How great would it be to be able to bring Natural Parenting items into your town? How incredible would it be to have these items readily available for moms to see in towns all across the country? If that makes you giddy inside, then you are exactly the mom I am looking for. I see this program as more than a just a business venture but also as a movement. A movement to show moms across the country that there is another way. Cloth diapers are not disgusting, breastfeeding is not something you should be ashamed, and feeding your family a wholesome diet does not have to be expensive or difficult! And the best part is I have worked very hard to design this program to be very flexible and affordable for you to get started.
If this sounds likes something you would be interested in I would love to hear from you! Simply click on the button below for more information and a link to an application. If you are a mom blogger I would love it if you could help spread the word with me. Let's start changing our nation's perspective on Natural Parenting one town at a time!

Plantet Wise Wetbag Review & Giveaway! ***CLOSED***
Planet Wise wetbags are made to make your life easier! They are eco-friendly and reliable and available in some many cute prints! I was so excited when I was given the oppoturnity to review a Planet Wise wetbag!
About Planet Wise
Planet Wise not only carries wetbags, but pail liners, dry bags, and even swim/diaper bags!! Their wetbags are available in 3 different sizes; small, medium, and large. They are PVC free and the zippers are lead free. They are made with high quality fabric and have a waterproof inner fabric to keep the wet stuff in! And what's so great is you don't have to use them JUST for diapers! You can use these to carry shoes, wet swimsuits or clothes, or even as a gym bag! The possibilities are endless!!
Our Review
I received a medium sized wetbag in the Black Curly Q print. First off the print is so cute! Very chic, but not too girly so hubby won't mind carrying it around either lol. I loved it. The size is great. I can fold it up and stick it in our diaper bag and it doesn't take up much room. The website says a medium wetbag will hold about 8-9 diapers. I would venture to say that it could probably hold 10 or 11 depending on the size of the diapers.
I tried out the wetbag first thing with a nighttime diaper. One that Noah was in all night and soaked! I put it in and then used it throughout the day with the rest of his diapers. I am happy to report, no smell! I couldn't smell anything through the wetbag and I knew it was stinky because as soon as I'd open it, the pee smell would hit me. But as long as it was zipped shut, I couldn't smell a thing. Plus it keeps all the wet inside as well! No leaky messes! I was so very pleased with this wetbag and give it a five star rating!! Go here to find your favorite retailer!
Win It!
Planet Wise is offering a medium wetbag in winner's choice of print to one lucky follower!

30 Days of Thankful x3
I've been so insanely busy the past few days that I missed 30 days of thankful! Bad me! So I'm making up for it today by naming 3 things I'm thankful for!
1. I am thankful for my house. We lived in a crappy, tiny appartment before this and so this house is like a mansion to us! I love it! It's so beautiful and spacious! We got an amazing deal on it as well! We were very blessed to get this house and I can't wait to make so many memories in this house!

2. I am thankful for my church. When Noah was a little baby and we lived in the appartment and since Brian worked every weekend, I didn't go to church. I could never bring myself to get us ready and go to a church where we didn't know anyone. I would occasionally visit a friend's church or go with my in-laws, but never went on my own. Well when we moved here, I was determined to find a church. And I did! I love the church I attend now. They are so loving and I get so much out of the sermons! They accepted Noah and I right away and that was so important to me! I am very thankful I finally have a church to call home!
3. I am thankful for family! And by family I mean the big family! I am thankful for my in-laws who have been so helpful to us when we needed them. I am thankful for my grandparents, and aunts and uncles! I am thankful to Brian's aunts and uncles. One of which let us live with them for a year!! My extended family is great and I couldn't ask for any better!!

MFC Sponsor Spotlight- Mud Butt Diapers!!
Yay for another Merry Fluffy Christmas Sponsor Spotlight! Today's sponsor is Mud Butt Cloth Diapers. Mud Butt diapers was started by a woman named Carrie. She is a mother of 2 and lives in Minnesota! She started using cloth diapers with their first child and then started making her own diapers! After using her homemade diapers on her own babies, she then started making and selling diapers to others in June of this year! So she is fairly new to the business but seems to be doing pretty well if you ask me!
She makes two kinds of diapers, pockets and AI2 Pocket Fusion Diapers. This month she just started offering Clean B detergents and pail fresheners in her store as well! She does custom orders AND she has over 20 PUL options and 20 snap color options for you to choose from! I've heard nothing but good things about Mud Butt cloth diapers and definately want to try one for myself one of these days!
Win It!
Carrie at Mud Butt Cloth Diapers is generously offering one $10 gift card to be part of one of the daily packages in the Merry Fluffy Christmas Event!
To get a head start on extra entries during the event, go visit Mud Butt Cloth Diapers on Facebook!
Thanks Mud Butt Cloth Diapers for being a sponsor!!
What happened to "To Each his Own"??
What am I about to write is my opinion, which I have a right to. If you don't agree with me thats fine, and feel free to state so, but lets be adults and play nice.
Ok so if your on Facebook you've probably heard about the "Cloth Diaper Wars" that have been swarming the net. It started out with a short segment on CBS. If you haven't seen the video, go here. When I watched it I was shocked. I do think it was not very informative at all, or not correctly informative I guess. They had gerber prefolds as examples of modern cloth diapers lol.
So the cloth diaper community spoke up and complained! And the host, Natali Del Conte-Morris listened to the complaints and accepted a challenge to cloth diaper for 30 days! How cool is that! But from what I have read and heard, these comments from the cloth diapering community were not the nicest. Her husband does a podcast called Daddy On Board when he shares his experiences as a dad and he basically said she was bombarded by the cloth diaper community and his co-host even went as far as to call us Cloth Diaper Nazis!!
Now I think the nazi thing was a bit harsh, but I am not suprised one bit that some of these comments were not so nice. I know how moms can get! We can me mean!! We are all about our own little way of doing things and that is the right way and everyone else is wrong! You know what I'm talking about. We go haywire over these debates of cloth vs disposable, breastfeeding vs formula feeding, rear-facing vs forward-facing. We do it..all of us...including myself. So yes, I completely believe that this community I consider myself a part of said some mean things to that lady and I am ashamed!
What ever happened to "to each his own"? Why are we so worried about what other moms do that we have to say mean things to each other just to share how we do things? Yes, the segment sucked, but there are plenty of ways we can say that without being mean! I mean heck, give the girl major props for giving cding a try!! I know plenty of people who won't even consider it! It just bugs me to no end that moms (not all, but a lot) feel like they have to be mean and force their opinions on others. I cloth diaper and love it! But did ya'll know Noah was in disposables until he was 7 months old? And he's ok! I have friends who use disposables, and their babies are just fine too! Yes, cloth is great and yes it is better for the environment and baby, but its not going to work for everybody. It just isn't.
I just wish we could all be nice and let people do their thing. As long as a parent isn't neglecting their child or putting them in fatal harm I say we mind our own business (I know some of you will argue putting a baby in sposies is harm but you know what I'm saying). If someone asks me about cloth I LOVE to tell them about it, but I don't push it on my friends who use sposies and I am definately not mean to them because they do! So yea, thats my little rant for the day. We're all just doing the best we can as parents, and putting your kiddo in sposies doesn't make you a bad parent. I just wish we could all play nice and mind our own business when we need to.

30 Days of Thankful- Sissys!!
Today I am thankful for my sisters! I am the oldest of 3 of us girls. We are 23, 19, and 15. When we were younger we didn't get along that great. We fought alot and picked on each other, typical sister stuff. But now we get along great! I don't see them as often as I'd like to but I love seeing them when I can and spending time with them! And we can't forget to mention how much Noah adores them!! I am very thankful for my sisters! They are great!!
