I am participating in Toddler Talk Thursday again this week!
I would ask, What are ways I can make Noah feel independent and like a big boy, but to keep him safe at the same time? Basically Noah wants to be a big boy and be like mommy and daddy. Sometimes this is fine, but other times it can be dangerous. For example, he wants to push the buggie at the store himself, even though he can't even see past it, or he wants to walk by himself without holding my hand. Other times aren't necessarily dangerous but frustrating for himself and I. Like he wants to be able to eat his food with a fork and not make a mess, but he still has trouble with that sometimes. He gets soooo frustrated and usually ends up having a temper tantrum. It sucks. I want to make him feel independent but I don't know how to do that when there are still so many things he can't do.
My Topic Suggestion: What are some of your toddler's favorite games to play? (ex: Hide and Go seek, ring around the rosie, etc.)
*sigh* i think time, patience and love are the only things (unfortunately!).

I looked for ways to have my son help while keeping him close. It was a challenge.
ReplyDeleteChase, my guy loves to play chase. The thing is he does not always look where he is going when playing hes to busy looking to see if you are chasing him!
