What You Need
- 1lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 glove garlic
- 1 16oz can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1 6oz an tomato paste
- 2 tsp dried basil, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 8oz lasagna noodles
- 1 Tblsp cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups rootta or cream style cottage cheese
- 1/2 up grated parmesan cheese
- 2 Tblsp dried parsley flakes
- 1lb mozzerella cheese, thinly sliced
What To Do
Cook meat, onion, and garlic (we use onion and garlic powder). Stir in the undrained tomatoes and next 4 ingredients. Cover, simmer 15 min, stirring often.
Meanwhile, cook noodles till tending in boiling salted water with oil added. Drain and rinse noodles. Beat eggs, add ricotta, 1/2 cup parmesan, parsley, salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper.
Layer half of the noodles in a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Spread with half of the ricotta filling. Add half of the mozerella cheese, and half of the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Sprinkle parmesan on top. Cook at 350 degrees for 30-40 min.
|I always forget the order of the layers which is why the mozerella is on top haha!|
