Going to the Beach!!

We are going to the beach! Whooo hoooo! I talked Brian into taking a mini vaca to Myrtle Beach! So Tues through Thurs we will be at the beach! Sooo if I am MIA..I apologize. Although I am bringing my laptop, I hope I'm too busy having fun to actually get on it! haha

The Look

If your a young mama..you've gotten the look. You know what I'm talking about. The "I wonder if she's married or I wonder if she's in school still or wow she is too young to have a kid" Look. Yes I'm talking about that one. I've gotten it before...and it drives me bonkers.

SO just fyi for those of you who think I'm too young to have a kid, or that since I am young I probably don't know as much as an older mama would....I'm sorry to say you are sadly mistaken.

I may be only 22 and still in college. But I know what I'm doing when it comes to raising my son. I am educated and I have read many books and articles etc on how to take care of babies/children. And besides all that , I'm his mother. I know whats best for him. Regardless of how old I am. Now these young mothers who pawn their babies off on their family members and go out and do what they want..they give us good young mothers a bad name. But I assure you..I'm not one of them.

Sooooo think before you stop to look at a young mama. Because most likely you don't know her or her situation. So don't judge. More than likely she is doing the best she can for herself and her child. And who knows..she might know more than you when it comes to raising a baby. ;)

Oopsie

Sorry I've been missing the past few days. I've been extremely busy. I finally picked up my wedding dress. Yay! And received my reception dress. AND got my hair did  haha. AND we booked Noah's bday party! Whoo hoo got lots done!

A few things have gone down that have had me worried about this wedding. But hey, nobody can have a perfect wedding, with perfectly easy wedding planning. There's bound to be bumps in the road. I've decided to just let them go and keep moving forward. 

So all is well and I leave you with some pics. :)

Take Back Tuesday and then some...

Here I am at my baby shower 4 days before Noah was born!!













And in other news- little man once again has a double ear infection. Poor guy was up till 2am last night. We got him some meds today though so hopefully he'll be feeling much better in a day or two.

Something you should know if you don't know already!!

If you have kids you know this...if you've had kids and they are grown..you still should know you just might not remember. And if you don't have kids you probably don't know this but you should.

I'd say this mostly applies to moms with babies. If you make plans with moms with babies...don't change those plans to a different time at the last minute!! If you say your going to be there or do this or do that at a certain time..stick to that time! You see moms with babies have to go with their babies schedules. And NAPS ARE VERY IMPORTANT. So if they say their baby needs a nap first..don't expect them to just wake their kid up in the middle of their nap just so ya'll can go somewhere at a certain time. Just don't expect the moms to be ready until after their baby has napped...cuz most likely, the mom uses that naptime to get herself ready to go. Cuz its almost impossible to get ready when baby is awake...especially a mobile baby.

Also, don't try to make last min plans with a mama of a baby either. That is very difficult on a mama. See her days are planned out with feedings, and awake time and nap time and what she can get done during nap time, etc. SO if you spring something on her last minute its gonna cause a stir in her whole day and that could be a very bad thing. Seriously.

So please take this advice and use it wisely. Otherwise your gonna see a mama have a huge bitch fit and lose her cool! And believe me, you don't want to to do that!

Nickels and dimes!

I am proud to say we are saving/searching to buy our own house!!! Its so exciting! I can't believe how far we have gone in a year. From living with family, barely able to pay for anything, to searching to buy our first house! All in one year! Oh and don't forget becoming parents too haha! Its been a crazy year! So the reason the title of this post is called nickels and dimes is because we are going to start saving every last nickle, dime, and penny for this house! Brian is having money directly deposited into his savings account so we don't even see it and therefore aren't tempted to spend it. And once Noah's bday and the wedding are over, we are literally watching every penny. We really want this and its worth it. So that also mean I gotta finish up my diaper stash and quit buying diapers! Haha! Now that is gonna be hard! Seriously! I'm gonna have to put a picture of a huge house on the fridge to remind myself how bad I want it!! I'm so excited!

What I would do for a pedicure right now!!!

Don't get me wrong. I love my husband and I love my son. But some days..I just wish I had like 2 hrs to myself. No husband, no baby. Just me. Thats why I love getting pedicures. I can just lay there and close my eyes and relax completely. I think I might go get one today lol. With the stress of finals, and wedding planning, and bday planning..plus the stresses of just everyday life, I feel like I'm beginning to lose it. I am always so tightly wound up and I really REALLY need to unwind. Maybe I can sneak away today and get a pedi...that would  be heaven.
