Fun With Food Friday- Potato Bacon Soup

Sorry I'm a little late this week again. We are busy painting and cleaning and getting ready for Noah's birthday party next weekend. So on top of preggo brain, I'm a bit preoccupied and forget things very easily!

This week's recipe is a HUGE favorite at our house and I even plan on making some this weekend. Its fairly easy to prepare and makes for great leftovers too!

Potato Bacon Soup


What you Need!

• 8-10 potatoes peeled and cubed
• 1 onion (or we just use onion powder in our house)
• bacon bits (I love the real ones you can buy already broken up) 
• 1 pkg cream cheese
• 1 can cream of chicken soup
• 1 can chicken broth

Mix all ingredients together in a large crockpot and cook on low for about 8 hours! Topped with cheese is the best!!!  YUM!!!

My Review

I will tell you, right off the bat, I am in love with this stuff! I received a bottle of the Fresh Morning Burst to review and it smells SO good! But its also not so strong that it sticks to your clothes and leaves a lingering odor!  Now we all know I have an almost 2 year old, and let's face it, toddlers make messes! He gets stains on his clothes ALL the time. Since using Purex Complete with Zout I have been able to get so many more stains out of his clothes and have had to get rid of so many less pieces of clothing! It really does get the stains out in one easy step! I love that I don't have to spray something on, wait, wash it, and pray the stain comes out! This I just put in the wash, and I am confident the stain will be gone when it is done washing! I'll admit, I've already used the whole bottle that I received to review, and plan on getting more asap! I love this detergent!!

I was excited to see if it worked as good as it sounded!

My Review


All the awesome perks of this product really sold me right away! I think its awesome that its non-toxic and concentrated! I'm all for saving money and this is a great way to save money! It really will last a very long time! When I first tried it I used it in my kitchen. The scent is very fresh but not to strong and doesn't burn my nose hairs as soon as I spray it. So I don't feel bad spraying my counters with it. After that, I went to work on the kitchen walls. They were gross to be honest. Fingerprints and just yucky Noah trails. Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner got all that stuck on junk right off!

I am so amazed at how many things you can use Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner for! You can even use it in your laundry!! How cool is that?! It can be used indoors and outdoors on just about any surface, as long as it is water safe!  This stuff is great! I am very happy to say I will be using this for all my spring cleaning!
