The Good Ol' Days

Last night I visited my high school to see my youngest sister, who is now a freshman, march in the marching band for the football game. We played a team that has been a rival since before I was around. It was a well-fought battle and we only lost by one point. My sister did an awesome job in the band. I was so proud!

Being back at school brought back a lot of awesome memories. High school was great for me and I can't believe its been 5 whole years since I've graduated. Being in the marching band was the highlight of my 4 years in high school. It taught me so many things. It taught me discipline and character. It taught me passion and love for something. It taught me how to work as a team and how to be a leader. I credit a lot of who I am today to being in the marching band. It was an amazing experience for me.

So much has changed now, and I've grown up a lot since then. But there is nothing like a Friday night under the lights to bring back some awesome memories of the good ol' days. I REALLY hope one day Noah wants to play football, or be in the band or something that brings us back to those Friday nights of fun filled memories.

Rockin' Green Cloth Diaper Detergent Review and Giveaway!

I was going to wait till tomorrow to post this as a birthday treat, but Hubby has informed me that we are going to have a date day while little man goes to Nana's! So Idk how much I will be on tomorrow! So enjoy and good luck!

I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to review my favorite detergent! Most of you have heard me rave about Rockin’ Green before! It is an amazing detergent for cloth diapers and any other household laundry as well!

A little about Rockin' Green...

Rockin’ Green detergent was created by a mom and is safe for cloth diapers, unlike many other detergents out there. It doesn’t give you the buildup and cause repelling like some other detergents do to cloth diapers. It is free of dyes, enzymes, whiteners and brightners. It comes in several different formulas which include:

• Soft - this formula is designed for those that have sensitive little ones or soft water.

• Classic - this is the original formula, and is great for those with moderate hard water, or just those that are battling with stinkies. Comes in unscented and scented varieties.

• Hard - This formula is designed for the most troubling of water types

(When in doubt, use classic rock until you can figure out what type of water you have and what will work best for your family)

Rockin’ Green also comes in all kinds of yummy scents!

The Rockin’ Green website is so awesome! Not only can you purchase the detergent and other accessories, but you can find out all kinds of info from washing instructions to special tips to how to become a retailer.

What the Ferguson’s think….
Rockin' a Soak!

Rockin’ Green is my detergent of choice! I used Tide on my cloth diapers before I switched to Rockin Green. When I tried Rockin Green it was like I had brand new diapers! My diapers were softer and brighter and just felt cleaner. I noticed a difference immediately! One of the coolest parts about Rockin Green is if you diapers are starting to get the stinkies or just not feeling as great as they used to, you can Rock a Soak! Which basically means lets your dipes soak in hot water and 3 to 4 tablespoons of Rockin Green (depending on size of load) for an hr or all night and your dipes come out stinky free!I have done this plenty of times and been very pleased every time!  I not only use Rockin Green on my diapers but I love to use it on towels and sheets too. It gets all the yuckies out and makes the towels and sheets super soft and clean!
I highly recommend Rockin Green Cloth Diaper detergent to any cloth diapering mama and even if you don’t cloth diaper! This detergent gets your laundry super clean and is great for anyone who has sensitive skin! This family will be using Rockin Green for many years to come!

I believe my toddler is bored with me....

So Noah is 16 months old. We are right in the center of this not quite a baby but not a big kid either yet. He can't really talk but he can walk and run and do most things a 2 year old could physically. So since we have the communication barrier we have the tantrums and the fits. Boo. But I am honestly starting to think the kid get bored with Brian and I. We aren't fun to him anymore. He wants more! He wants to get outside and explore and go run and jump and climb! He needs more stimulation! I try every day to get down and play with him and chase him and read to him. But I'm beginning to think its just not enough sometimes. Sometimes its great and he responds well and enjoys play time with mommy. But sometimes I think he needs some playmates or other kids to chase haha. So we are thinking about putting him in a mothers morning out maybe one or two mornings a week when I start back to school full time at the end of this month. We are going to check out a few and decide closer to the end of the month. Have any of you mamas done something like this? Was it a good experience for you and your kiddo? Give me your thoughts!

* Soooo tomorrow is the big bday and to celebrate I am posting an awesome review and giveaway! If you are a CLOTH DIAPERING mama you definately wanna come back and visit tomorrow! But even if your not come visit! Everyone can benefit from this giveaway! :)

** If you haven't already, go enter my Munchie Mug Giveaway! I think I might even post some extra entry opportunities today to up your chances of winning even more!

*** I am hopping a bit today! So if you are a new follower welcome welcome! I hope you'll leave me a comment with your blog url so I can follow you back!
