The Good Ol' Days

Last night I visited my high school to see my youngest sister, who is now a freshman, march in the marching band for the football game. We played a team that has been a rival since before I was around. It was a well-fought battle and we only lost by one point. My sister did an awesome job in the band. I was so proud!

Being back at school brought back a lot of awesome memories. High school was great for me and I can't believe its been 5 whole years since I've graduated. Being in the marching band was the highlight of my 4 years in high school. It taught me so many things. It taught me discipline and character. It taught me passion and love for something. It taught me how to work as a team and how to be a leader. I credit a lot of who I am today to being in the marching band. It was an amazing experience for me.

So much has changed now, and I've grown up a lot since then. But there is nothing like a Friday night under the lights to bring back some awesome memories of the good ol' days. I REALLY hope one day Noah wants to play football, or be in the band or something that brings us back to those Friday nights of fun filled memories.

  1. Good times. It feels weird to me not being in the stands. But I know your heart still drops just like mine when you hear the chant ;)
