We place the kids' stockings beside them before they wake up and thy get to open their stockings in their bed and then re stuff it and bring them to our bed and show us all they got.<br />We chose not to carry on my parents tradition of all edible tree ornaments (froot loop, cheerio, life saver, sour key garland, cookie and candy ornaments, shoestring licorice for tinsel...).
