Glow Bug Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway! {US & Canada}

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are a company I just heard about recently. I think it was over the summer when I started to hear things about them. I heard nothing but good things about them and had to check them out! When I was given the opportunity to review a Glow Bug cloth diaper I was very excited to try out the diapers everyone was talking about!

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers were started by two mommy friends who cloth diapered their babies, but were looking for a good quality diaper that was affordable as well. So they decided to start their own company that provided great quality diapers at a super affordable price! They want parents who are interested in cloth diapering not to be intimidated by the price and to be able to get great diapers for a great price! "Glow Bug" is the nickname of one of the mommy's daughters and she says babies in a cloth diaper look like "a cute little bug with a sweet round bum"!

So how does it work? Well Glow Bug Cloth Diapers comes in sets of 12 diapers in stylish girl, boy, or gender neutral prints. Each pack comes with 18 snap-in microfiber inserts and are all packaged in a FREE wetbag! And you pay only $150 for all this! That's less that $13 a diaper!  This is perfect for a starter stash for those new to cloth diapering!

I received an adorable boy print called "Gear". It is so cute and very boyish! The diaper is a one-size pocket diaper, fitting approximately 7-35 pounds. There are two sets of snaps that crossover for little babies and four sets of snap-down snaps for size adjustability. The inside is made of a SlimDry fabric to keep baby feeling dry without the extra bulk of adding liners or inserts. There are also double leg gussets to keep mess inside!

I get a really great fit with this diaper! Isaac is about 21lbs and 29 inches tall, give or take. I have it set on the second from the largest rise and I can snap it without any snaps extra snaps in between and it fits great that way! We've used this diaper for naps, for car rides, and for out and about! We've never had one leak in this diaper! I haven't tried it overnight yet, but I feel sure with an extra insert it would hold up great and there wouldn't be any leaks!
This diaper is great! It works well, I get a great fit, and it's adorable! And the price is awesome! With Glow Bug Cloth Diapers you really are getting great quality diapers for a great price!

My New Year's Resolutions for 2013!

It’s that time of again. A new year is beginning and it’s time for a fresh start! I like to make a list of New Year’s Resolutions every year. Sometimes I don’t keep them up and other times I do, but making that list is a great way to reflect on the past year and see what I’d like to do differently or do more or less of in the new year. So here’s my list! I hope you’ll share yours as well!

1.       Work out on a regular basis. I think a lot of people have this resolution. I am pretty happy with my weight right now, but I am not in shape at all. I want to be in shape. I want to be able to run! I want to be toned! I want to be healthy!

2.      Spend more time reading my Bible. I’ve gotten really good at doing my daily devotion and spending time with God in prayer, but I’d really like to read my bible more. I don’t think I’ve ever read the entire bible. Maybe I’ll do that in 2013.

3.      Set aside more alone time with my husband. I love that man. But we are both busy and have our two small kids who like to keep us up at night, and who destroy the house during the day and it seems that things always get ahead of us and we don’t spend enough time alone together. I really want to start having a date night once a week or once every two weeks. Even if it’s just a movie and popcorn on the couch.

4.      Do more fun things with my kids. I want to have more experiences with them! I want to go on our own little field trips! I want to explore with them! I hate when I go to bed and think that I didn’t do enough with them that day. I don’t want to feel that way anymore!

5.      Be more patient. I tend to not be very patient, with Noah, and with Brian, and with everyone really. I don’t want to wait for things. I want things to happen right away. It’s a bad flaw of mine and I need to work on it.

6.      Family always comes first. I need to make sure I remember that every day. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with the mess and what I have to do with my blog and the house and grocery shopping and everything else that I let family time slip right by me. I need to learn to let go of the other things and spend time with my family first and foremost.

So these are my resolutions for 2013. I think I might print this blog post and hang it up somewhere so I can see it on a regular basis. These are some things that I really want to stick with and do this year. What are some of your resolutions for 2013?

My Wonderful Walls Review & Giveaway!

Decorating your baby or child's room is always so much fun! Picking out colors, themes, and designs is the best part! I always have a ton of ideas floating around in my head for things like this, but I have nowhere near the artistic ability to do them! That's where My Wonderful Walls comes in! My Wonderful Walls is an online shop that specializes in wall stencils, wall stickers, canvas art, and wall murals!

My Wonderful Walls was created by a husband and father. He wanted to make it possible for any parent, even the artistically challenged like myself, to make an unique and fun space for their child! My Wonderful Walls is a small business run by Michael and his family! They take pride in their personal customer service.

When I was pregnant with Isaac we decided to do his bedroom an ocean theme. It's blue with some ocean/ship trinkets hanging on the wall. Nothing too fancy, but cute. When I was given the opportunity to review something from My Wonderful Walls I knew I wanted to get something to spruce up Isaac's room a little bit! So I chose the Pirate Theme Wall Stickers!

The Pirate Theme wall stickers comes with 27 fabric wall stickers that can be re-positioned  reused, and layered! The stickers are made from fabric that won't stretch or tear and there are no white edges so it looks like they were painted right onto the wall! When we received the package from My Wonderful Walls, I showed it to my husband and he wanted to start on it right away!

It was so much fun decorating his room and now it really looks like the ocean with pirate ships and sea creatures and all in his room! We had a blast and even Isaac loves to go look at the awesome pictures on his wall!

We also received a Personalized Pirate Sign Wall Sticker that I added Isaac's name to!

My Wonderful Walls has something for everyone! There are so many themes to choose from and you can get wall stickers as well as wall stencils if you want to paint it yourself! Check out this Ocean Wall Mural stencil kit you could paint yourself!  They have themes for baby nursery's, toddler rooms, and big kid rooms! They even have items for other rooms in the house! My Wonderful Walls makes decorating so fun and so easy!

Holiday Traditions!

I love the holidays! As a kid, Christmas could not get here fast enough! I was always that kid who couldn't sleep a wink on Christmas eve because I was so excited about Christmas morning! Now as a mother, it is still just as exciting! To see the excitement on Noah's face when we talk about Christmas is just priceless! Holiday Traditions are part of what make the season so special and fun! There are holiday traditions that I did as a kid that I want to do with my kids each year, and there are also some new ones I want to start with my kids! So I thought I'd share some of our holiday traditions and I hope you will share some with me too!

Christmas Parade! Every year we go to a Christmas parade as a family! The marching band is my favorite part!

Watching "White Christmas"  My mom and sisters and I started doing this each year when we got a little older. We all love the movie so we watch it every year! Now that we are all living separately we still make sure to watch it and tell each other we watched it! I do miss those days of gathering in the living room with my mom and sisters to watch it though!

Cookies for Santa! We can't forget to leave cookies out for Santa! I can't remember if we made cookies or not when I was a kid but with my kids each Christmas Eve I want to make it a tradition to make the cookies ourselves and decorate them and then leave them out for Santa!

Reading the Christmas Story Every year we would actually listen to "Twas the Night Before Christmas" on a cassette tape when we got into bed on Christmas Eve. I don't have that cassette tape so with my boys I'll read them the Christmas story from the bible and "Twas the Night Before Christmas" before bed on Christmas Eve each year.

Cinnamon Rolls on Christmas Morning! Every Christmas morning my mom would make us cinnamon rolls for breakfast! So delicious! That is one tradition I have kept up and will continue to keep up! Yum!

New PJ's! This is not something we did when I was a kid, but it's a tradition I have started with my kids.  Every year I want to get them brand new comfy pj's to wear to bed on Christmas eve. So they'll be nice and cozy as they dream of sugarplums dancing in their heads!

What are some holidays traditions you did as a child? Do you still do these traditions with your children?  What are some new ones you've started with your children?

Zutano Baby and Toddler Clothing Review & Giveaway! {US & Canada}

Even though I have boys I still love dressing them up in the cutest clothes and fashions. Zutano carries some of the cutest baby and toddler clothes around, made from only the softest cotton and of the highest quality!

Zutano is located in Vermont and was created by the inspiration of a baby. They used the wonder and curiousity of a baby to inspire them. They are committed to running their company with great values and customer service and putting family first.

I was given the opportunity to review some of Zutano's baby clothing. I had them send me some items for Isaac and they sent me some items from their dino collection! He received a cozy baby jacket, the dinos long sleeve t-shirt, the shaggy baby hat, and the baby terry pants. This makes the cutest little outfit and, oh my goodness, so soft! I wanted to wear it myself because it feels so comfy! The clothing is very well made and you can tell the fabrics are great quality!

Here's a picture of Isaac in the dino shirt and the terry pants:

And here's our latest Santa shot with him in the Cozy Fleece Baby Jacket over a red onesie! I thought this little outfit I threw together turned out to be just perfect with the jacket!

I didn't get a good picture of Isaac wearing the hat but it is super fuzzy and cute!

Zutano outfits are simply adorable and you can easily mix and match them however you like! They are also great quality items of clothing and feel super comfortable! They are priced a little higher than I would normally pay for just a regular outfit for the boys but I would definitely purchase something from Zutano for a special occasion! The products are well worth the price!

Little Love Buns Wipe Bits Review!

Little Love Buns was one of the awesome sponsors of the Merry Fluffy Christmas event here on The Not-So-Secret Confessions! Little Love Buns was created by a mom named Dallas. She started cloth diapering after her twins were born but couldn't find a cloth diaper safe detergent that she loved. So after some good ol' trial and error she finally came up with a great new detergent! She now creates detergent, wipes bits, cloth wipes, wet bags and more!

I received a 50 count wipes bits in Cherry Almond scent to review! First I must talk about the amazing scent! It smells so yummy! I love mixing up the wipe bits with water because I get to smell the awesome cherry almond smell!

The bits are really easy to use. You just take 2-5 bits and add them to 6-8oz of warm water. I pour my wipes mixture over my wipes, but you could also put the mixture in a squirt bottle. It does take a few minutes to dissolve and I can never get mine to completely dissolve but the tiny bits that don't dissolve when I pour them over my wipes just mix into the wipes and aren't a problem or anything.

The wipes bits makes my wipes soft and smooth and make it easy to clean my baby's bum! The fabulous smell is a plus too! I really like these wipes bits and the way they make my cloth wipes feel! You can purchase the wipes bits in a 50 count or 100 count container with seven scents to choose from including unscented!
